Auto Mobil International

The Auto Mobil International (AMI) is an automobile trade exhibition organized by the Leipzig trade exhibition since 1996 whichis also open to non-specialist visitors. Besides the IAA in Frankfurt/Main which is held every two years it is the second largest German car show. It presents many innovations in the automotive sector including more than 100 world, European and German premieres.

In 2010, the AMI opened its doors from April 10 to 18. Since 2010 the formerly annual exhibition has been held every second year only. In 2012, the AMI took place from June 2 to 10, 2012.

AMITEC, a vehicle parts, workshop and service trade exhibition, is held in parallel with AMI.

Leipzig Book Fair - Germany's second largest book fair.

Today, the Leipzig Book Fair is Germany's second largest after the Frankfurt Book Fair and is Leipzig's best-known trade exhibition next to the Auto Mobil International car show and the universal sample fair, which existed until after the German reunification. It takes place annually in mid-March at the Leipzig trade exhibition center. As the first major industry meeting of the year, it is regarded as an important source of impetus for the book market with the presentation of the new publications of the spring. The book fair is primarily a "public fair that focuses on the encounter between author and visitor".
